Firefighter collectibles featured at St. Baldrick’s auction tonight

SEBASTIAN — Among the many items on the silent auction block tonight to benefit the St. Baldrick’s Foundation are one-of-a-kind firefighter collectibles.

The International Association of Firefighters Local 2201, in addition to entering several heads for shaving at the March 1 St. Baldrick’s event, has donated four hand-carved firefighter axes, a custom-made St. Baldrick’s Foundation red firefighter hat and special T-shirts designed specifically for the event.

The Second Annual Hawaiian Shirt and Flip-Flop Silent Auction will be from 6:30 to 10 p.m. upstairs in the Tiffany Room at Capt. Hiram’s. Printable e-tickets are still available online at

Tickets cost $40 per person or $75 per couple and include admission, a drink ticket, heavy hors d’ouvrves, and dancing along with a slient auction of items donated by dozens of local businesses. All proceeds benefit for some awesome items! Put on your wildest tropical shirt and bring your checkbook. Proceeds to benefit St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is dedicated to finding a cure for childhood cancer.
