Sebastian River Medical presents Women’s Health Expo Feb. 9

SEBASTIAN — Sebastian River Medical Center will host the 11th Annual Women’s Health Expo on Saturday, Feb. 9, from 8:30-11 a.m. This event is open to the public and includes free refreshments and door prizes.

At 10 a.m., a special presentation titled “Advances in Women’s Health” will be conducted by board certified gynecologist Taryn Gallo, MD. This will provide information about incisionless techniques to deal with heavy periods, fibroids, “dropped” bladder, or pelvic prolapse.

A variety of free screenings will be available at the health fair including vascular, blood pressure, and vision. Blood profile screenings including cholesterol and lipids will be offered for a minimal charge of $15, paid by cash or check. Eight hours of fasting is required for this test.

All attendees should enter the event through the Diagnostic Center’s main entrance located just north of the Emergency Room in the main parking lot of the hospital.
