Watch artists work their magic at ELC during Plein Air Artists Rendezvous

VERO BEACH — The Environmental Learning Center (ELC) and the Cultural Council of Indian River County (CCIRC) are proud to present a “Plein Air Artists’ Rendezvous” on the grounds of the Environmental Learning Center, 255 Live Oak Drive, Wabasso Island.

The public is invited to watch artists work plein air, or outside, on the ELC’s waterfront island sanctuary that features native plants and animals for the three day event held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 16 through Saturday Feb. 18.

On Saturday, Feb. 18 from 5 to 7 p.m. the event will culminate with a reception in the ELC’s Lagoon Wetland Room which will be transformed into an art gallery. Works will be displayed on pedestals, fully framed or gallery wrapped, and all will be available for sale. The public can also purchase the works ahead of time right off the artist’s easel!

Proceeds benefit both the Environmental Learning Center and the Cultural Council of Indian River. The event is free and open to the public.
