Tiger Lily Gallery opens 20th Anniversary, Big is Beautiful Show

VERO BEACH — Tiger Lily artists, Julia Carter, Shotsi Cain Lajoie, Chris Adams Johnson, Linda Proctor, Sharon Sexton and Glenda Taylor will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their art studios and gallery with a Big is Beautiful show. Big is Beautiful, a show of large works, opens Friday, February, 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. in conjunction with the Gallery Stroll, and will close March 31.

Big is Beautiful is unparalleled for the Tiger Lily artists. Because Tiger lily’s mission is to support the artists’ unique process, a brand new level of creativity is guaranteed as the artists show large works.

A portion of the proceeds of the show will be contributed to Haiti Partners, an organization whose mission is dedicated to help educate children in Haiti.

Tiger Lily began in 1992 when Glenda Taylor, Sharon Sexton and Chris Adams Johnson banded together at the Red lion Gallery on Beachland Blvd. These original three are still with the studio. The studio has had a variety of artists over the years in a few different locations and currently six artists are involved.

Tiger Lily is owned and operated by these artists who have a working studio located at 1903 14th Ave., in a historic church in downtown Vero Beach. Their hours of operation are from Tuesday -Friday 10a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
