Dollars for Scholars receives Dyer Difference Award

VERO BEACH — Dyer Chevrolet and Dyer Mazda Subaru have announced Dollars for Scholars of Indian River County as the 37th recipient of the Dyer Difference Award. This award salutes a non-profit organization in Indian River County that is truly making a difference in our community.

Tatiana and Will Dyer presented the Dyer Difference Award along with a $3,000.00 check to Dollars for Scholars, which will be hosting the sixth annual football classic football game on Friday, October 14. This year the event will be held at Sebastian River High School and features the Vero Beach Fighting Indians versus the Sebastian River High School Sharks. VIP tickets include a pre-game BBQ.

“Our Football Classic brings the best and brightest young people, families, educators and community members in Indian River County together in the spirit of sportsmanship and celebration to benefit need based scholarships for local students,” said Camilla Wainright, DFS Executive Director.

VERO BEACH — A Vero Beach High School student was arrested after a school resource deputy found a loaded Glock .380-caliber firearm in his bookbag Monday morning, sheriff's officials said. Holiday cheer lights up PRISM concert at SRHS

Sebastian River High School musicians have been putting in work, crafting their skills since the beginning of November in preparation for a jovial showcase and an annual tradition. Tradition: Vero Beach High School Homecoming Parade brings spirit, fun

School spirit was in full effect as residents gathered downtown to cheer on the Vero Beach High Homecoming Parade on Thursday. The sounds from whistles, drums and horns could be heard before the Fighting Indians Band marched down the streets in formation.
