Who will be Vero Beach’s next mayor?

VERO BEACH – After Tuesday’s election, only one familiar face will remain on the Vero Beach City Council dais. No incumbents running for re-election were returned to serve another term.

Joining Councilman Brian Heady on the dais will be Tracy Carroll, who won the one-year term seat, former Vero Beach Mayor Craig Fletcher, Jay Kramer and Pilar Turner. On Monday, they will be sworn into office and choose amongst themselves who will serve as Mayor and who will be Vice Mayor.

That process begins at 10 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.

Though the city’s residents do not get to choose who will be Mayor, VeroNews.com is interested to see who you think should serve in that position.

Should the decision be based on experience? By the number of votes the winners received? By their ability to bring about consensus?
