Dominga Jennings, 60, Sebastian

Dominga Jennings, 60, died July 5, 2010, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

She was born in Dorado, Puerto Rico, and lived in Sebastian since 2008, coming from Virginia. She was an X-ray technologist at St. Mary’s Medical Center, West Palm Beach.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Jennings of Sebastian; mother, Josefina Mercado of Wellington; sons, J.B. of Virginia and Jeremy Bryan Jennings of Fort Lauderdale; daughters, Andrea Little of Atlanta, Marisa Mathis of Virginia and Johndre Jennings of Baltimore; brother, Guillermo Davila of Wellington; sister, Maria Budd of Wellington; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association Hospice Foundation, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960.

A funeral service will be at 2 p.m. July 10 at Palm Beach National Chapel, Lake Worth, with visitation from 1 to 2 p.m.

‘Tragic, sudden loss,’ – Memorials emerge for teen killed in ATV crash

With the sudden death of Sebastian River High School student Jake Beecher still fresh, family, friends, teammates and coaches continue to come to terms with the tragic crash that took his life. Slight dip for July beach attendance compared to last year

VERO BEACH — Beachgoers are hitting the shores this summer all while practicing social distancing amid the coronavirus pandemic. The city's three guarded beaches had a slight dip in attendance numbers in July compared to last year, according to a Vero Beach Lifeguard Association report. Last month, 86,095 people flocked to Jaycee Park Beach, Humiston Park Beach and South Beach Park, lifeguards said. This number is less than the 86,686 beachgoers who hit the sand in July 2019. In July of 2018, the city set an attendance record when the beaches had 93,000 visitors, lifeguards said.
