GYAC seeking musical instruments

VERO BEACH – The Gifford Youth Activity Center is looking for musical instruments for their Band Instrument Loan Program.  GYAC needs brass, woodwind and percussion instruments for students in school band programs.  Donated instruments remain the property of GYAC and parents or guardians sign a contract that they will maintain the instruments in working order as long as they are on loan.

This program allows students who cannot afford to rent or buy their own musical instruments to participate in music education and performance.  Research shows that music students outperform non-music students on many standardized tests.

Instruments may be dropped off at the Gifford Youth Activity Center at 4875 43rd Avenue in Gifford or you can arrange to have them picked up by calling Freddie Woolfork at 772 794 1005 Ext 34.

Instruments needed:  Piccolo, Flute, Clarinet, Oboe, Bassoon, Soprano Saxophone, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Bass Saxophone, French Horn, Trumpet, Coronet, Flugelhorn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, Sousaphone, Cymbals, Snare Drums and Field Drums.
