Hibiscus Blue Ribbon Luncheon and Fashion Show

VERO BEACH —  To commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month, the Hibiscus Children’s Center 11th Annual Blue Ribbon Luncheon and Fashion Show will take place at Oak Harbor Club on Wednesday, April 7.

The luncheon, themed Catwalks & Cupcakes, will raise funds to care for our community’s most needy children – those removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect. Guests of the luncheon will be treated to a complimentary champagne reception, a delectable luncheon and a premier fashion show generously provided by Cooper and Co.  New this year will be boutique shopping from The Dori Collection of Beverly Hills, tea room modeling by Veranda, makeup applications by Chanel, and guest fashion appearances by G.T. Rhodes and Twirl. Hibiscus is proud to again welcome WPBF’s Christi Knight as the mistress of ceremonies.

Event co-chairs Kolette Koch, Dee Rotondi, and Nancy Stewart have been working hard to make this year’s event truly unique. “The Blue Ribbon Luncheon and Fashion Show has always been one of Hibiscus’s most exciting and anticipated events,” said Dee Rotondi. “The exquisite fashions coordinated by Cooper & Co. always delight those in attendance, and we were happy to build upon the event this year by including even more specialty shops.”

The committee is excited to announce that an exclusive raffle drawing will again be part of the festivities this year. Top raffle prize is a Trina Turk Tote from Sassy Boutique, a spa treatment donated by Quail Valley, and a Michelle Carousel watch from Veranda, together valued at $800. Second prize is a “Dine Around Vero” package of $100 gift certificates to some of Vero Beach’s most popular restaurants including The Ocean Grill, Ti Amo Sempre, Carmels, Pomodoro, and the Melody Inn. Third prize is a “Day of Pampering” including a manicure and pedicure along with a hair experience of cut, color, and style at Pampered Life’s new venture, Polished.  Raffle tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20 and are available by calling Angela Astrup at 978-9313 x 313.
