Elizabeth Susan “Betty Sue” Dalton, 75, died March 8, 2010, at Indian River Medical Center, Vero Beach.
She was born in Conway, S.C., and lived in Vero Beach for 65 years. Prior to retirement, she was a grader in the citrus industry working for Ocean Spray 20 years.
Survivors include her sons, Stan Dalton of Taylor, Mich., and Mike Dalton of Sebastian; daughter, Cheryl Kinchen of Wabasso; brothers, Jimmy Vereen of Melbourne and Bobby Vereen of Grant; sisters, Ila O’Neal of South Bay and Archie Driggers and Faye Vereen, both of Sebastian; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harry Dalton; and grandson, RJ Kinchen.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. March 12 at Strunk Funeral Home, Sebastian, followed by a funeral service at 5 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Allen F. Yarbrough, First Baptist Church of Wabasso, officiating.
