Fertilizer restrictions to go into effect next month

A reminder from the Indian River Neighborhood Association to residents of Indian River County, City of Vero Beach, Sebastian and Orchid. We are coming into our rainy season when more nutrients such as nitrogen and phosphorous are likely to be washed from our lawns, driveways and roads into the storm water system and, ultimately, into our local waterways such as the Indian River Lagoon. The fertilizer ordinances passed by our communities goes into effect June 1st. It prohibits the use of lawn fertilizer between June 1st and September 30th. Riverside Children’s Theatre presents The Wiz

VERO BEACH - Riverside Children's Theatre's Summer Stage presents The Wiz, a fresh spin to the classic tale of "The Wizard of Oz," at the Anne Morton Theatre July 22, 23, 29 and 30 at 7:30 pm and July 23, 24, 30 and 31 at 1:30 pm. For 25 years, the Summer Stage program has provided area youth, both high school and college students, with the opportunity to participate in a full scale theatrical production under the direction of a staff of theatre professionals.
