HURRICANE: 2009 hurricane names – Claudette would be next

ATLANTIC OCEAN — Should the system of disturbed weather activity being called Invest 90 be upgraded to a topical storm in the next few days, it would be called Claudette and would be the third name storm of the season. These 2009 Hurricane Names come from the National Hurricane Center website.

So far, 2009 has been a quiet season, but Floridians and other coastal residents will remember 2005 when the named storms ran through the whole alphabet to Wilma, which skimmed Indian River County in October.
