William J. ‘Bill’ Moore, 75, Sebastian

William J. “Bill” Moore, 75, of Sebastian, died July 28, 2009. He was born in Owensboro, Ky., and lived in Sebastian, coming from Indiana.

He was employed by Grand Harbor Golf in Vero Beach. He managed the computerized reservation system, 30 rangers, starters and course attendants. He was a real estate agent in Noblesville, Ind. He served in the Air Force for 22 1/2 years and attained the rank of sergeant E-7. As a member of the Air Force shooting team, he earned numerous awards and medals. He graduated from St. Francis High School, Owensboro, in 1951.

Survivors include his partner, Mae Wilson; sons, David Moore, of Crossville, Tenn., Steven Moore, of Greenwood, S.C., and Peter Moore, of Noblesville; daughter, Donna Jean Wright, of Crossville; two brothers; two sisters; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A military service will be at 1 p.m. July 30 at the Elks in Sebastian with private burial in a national cemetery at a later date.
