DESCRIPTION:Girls on the Run of the Treasure Coast will host a Virtual 5K the week of November 9-14th. Girls on the Run is known nationally for the focus on physical\, social\, and emotional health of girls using fun running games and discussions for girls in 3rd-8th grades. \nDuring the 8-week program\, girls participate in lessons that foster confidence\, build peer connections\, and encourage community service while they prepare for an end-of-season celebratory 5K event at their school site. In the spirit of keeping the community involved and moving forward\, Girls on the Run of the Treasure Coast will sponsor a Virtual Celebration 5K – Run\, Red\, White\, and Blue. \nParticipation in the 5K can be completed “your way\,” and participants can run\, walk\, or even bike their way to celebrate healthy movement. Registration cost is $15 for adults\, $10 for 12 and under and includes a medal and tote bag.
