SUMMARY:Girls on the Run Virtual 5K: Run\, Red\, White & Blue
DESCRIPTION:Girls on the Run of the Treasure Coast will host a Virtual 5K the week of November 9-14th. Girls on the Run is known nationally for the focus on physical\, social\, and emotional health of girls using fun running games and discussions for girls in 3rd-8th grades. \nDuring the 8-week program\, girls participate in lessons that foster confidence\, build peer connections\, and encourage community service while they prepare for an end-of-season celebratory 5K event at their school site. In the spirit of keeping the community involved and moving forward\, Girls on the Run of the Treasure Coast will sponsor a Virtual Celebration 5K – Run\, Red\, White\, and Blue. \nParticipation in the 5K can be completed “your way\,” and participants can run\, walk\, or even bike their way to celebrate healthy movement. Registration cost is $15 for adults\, $10 for 12 and under and includes a medal and tote bag. Participants are encouraged to share their red\, white\, and blue spirit and run united in support of the girls. \nFor more information about the event\, how to register\, and volunteer opportunities\, visit www.girlsontheruntc.org.
