DESCRIPTION:Clap your hands and tap your feet when Pianist Tom Servinsky and vocalist Lisa Macalaster come to Vero Beach Museum of Art (VBMA) to present Selections from the “Great American Songbook”\, a musical journey that echoes the creativity and spirit of America. Tickets for the Saturday\, April 18\, 2026\, 3 p.m. performance are now on sale at vbmuseum.org. \nThe “Great American Songbook” is the canon of some of the most influential American popular songs and jazz standards that emerged during the early 20th century. Often called “American Standards\,” the songs of this genre include popular and enduring tunes from the 1920s to the 1960s\, including those created for Broadway theatre\, musical theatre\, and Hollywood musical film. \nThe performance complements American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection\, a nationally touring exhibition that traces the arc of American art from the colonial era through modern day\, on view at VBMA through June 7\, 2026. \nTickets for Selections from the “Great American Songbook” are $20 per person for VBMA Members\, and $25 per person for non-members.
