The show will be in the Narthex Gallery at Community Church from February 1 to April 1 2024. DESCRIPTION:Pelican Island will celebrate its 121st anniversary as the country’s first National Wildlife Refuge in March 2024. Joe Wiegand\, aka President Theodore Roosevelt\, will join the Pelican Island Conservation Society once again to help celebrate this historic occasion and bring to life how Pelican Island came to be known throughout the country\, and even the world! \nPlease join the Pelican Island Conservation Society on March 15-17\, 2024 for a weekend-long celebration of the Pelican Island NWR. Activities include a special “Evening with Theodore Roosevelt” with a presentation by President Roosevelt himself! Stop by the Pelican Island NWR on the weekend for a meet-and-greet with the President\, enjoy the environmental\, conservation\, historical and live wildlife exhibitors who will join us\, and stroll the Centennial Boardwalk leading to the overlook of Pelican Island. \nTwo events require a reservation and full details\, online reservations\, and the full schedule of activities can be found on the PICS website at www.FirestRefuge.org/anniversary.
