Meals will be available at no separate charge to all participants enrolled at World Class Academy\, 1285 6th Avenue\, Vero Beach\, Fl 32960\, regardless of race\, color\, national origin\, sex\, age or disability. \nParents/Guardians of children eligible for free and reduced-price meals must complete an application.

DESCRIPTION:E-Series: Forces of Nature- Florida’s Fighters for Conservation\nSpeaker: Clay Henderson\nTuesday\, Feb. 7\, 7 p.m. \nClay Henderson is one of Florida’s leading voices in environmental policy. He sponsored or co-authored most of the natural resource protection provisions in the Florida Constitution\, including: Amendment 1\, the largest voter approved conservation funding initiative in our nation’s history\, and creation of the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. He led development of nationally recognized land conservation programs\, including: Volusia Forever (1986 and 2000)\, Florida Communities Trust (1990)\, Preservation 2000 (1991) and Florida Forever (1999). He has negotiated over 300\,000 acres of lands now part of national and state parks\, forests\, and wildlife refuges. He negotiated key elements of the Everglades Restoration (1996) and authored the large scale planning sections of Florida Community Planning Act (2011). He negotiated the historic merger of Florida Audubon Society and National Audubon Society\, which had coexisted for 100 years\, and was one of the founders of Save the Manatee Club.\nJoin us for our not to be missed E-Series at the Emerson Center!
