From the Midst of Wickedness, is being very well received. About a scandal at a major university, this Treasure Coast author has created a page-turner that’s a must-read for individuals, book clubs and reading circles with plenty of twists and turns that evoke great discussion.

Based on his personal experiences, Cover brings fictional characters to life through deft character development. During the March 22nd event, the author will share his insights on the novel, as well as an anecdotal discussion about the origins of his characters.

Copies of From the Midst of Wickedness and Cover’s first novel, Dance by the Light of the Moon, are available at Vero Beach Book Center to purchase in advance or can be purchased at the event. The Vero Beach Book Center is located at 392 21st Street in Vero Beach.

About the Novel

From the Midst of Wickedness brings you into the world of Thomas Simpson, a professor at Sessions University, who is seduced into joining the administration of the university president. As a new director of university communications, he begins to have disturbing concerns about the workings of his inner circle. Likeable, but flawed, Simpson faces family, political and relationship troubles in addition to being stalked by an attractive and savvy reporter who is inquiring about issues facing the university.

Meanwhile tens of millions of dollars are being received by an anonymous capital campaign donor to fund projects to make Sessions “The Global University,” to fulfill University President Brian Fitz-Hugh’s vision. Sessions’ provost, who is jealous of Fitz-Hugh, petitions the Faculty Senate for an independent audit of the university. His sudden, mysterious death and uncertainty if it was suicide or murder sends shock waves throughout the university.

Thomas, his family and the university all face perilous situations that spin a web of intrigue and put them all at risk.
