GYAC’s Saturday Night Fever Dance Party
January 22, 2022 @ 5:30 pm - 9:30 pm
$175Get ready to shake your groove thing! The Gifford Youth Achievement Center’s (GYAC) Saturday Night Fever Dance Party, presented by the Bernard Egan Foundation and Paul and Nancy Knapp, is the perfect place to boogie. GYAC’s ultra-popular silent disco from 2020 kept guests on the dance floor long after the last dance, and it’s making a comeback! The annual fundraiser will be held at the Oak Harbor clubhouse on January 22, 2022.
What’s a silent disco? Rather than using a speaker system, GYAC’s DJs will broadcast the greatest hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s through a radio transmitter while guests tune into one of three channels playing on wireless headphones, and shake it. The best part – those not wearing headphones hear no music, giving the effect of a room full of people dancing in silence.
The 70’s disco-themed event promises to be an unforgettable evening complete with big hair, bell bottoms and all-around good vibes. All proceeds benefit the Gifford Youth Achievement Center which runs year-round educational programs for more than 200 children in kindergarten through twelfth grade, as well as adult and senior programs.
Admission includes GYAC’s famous silent disco, live performances, passed hors d’oeuvres, a 3-course plated dinner, complimentary beer, wine and soda throughout the evening, cash bar and fabulous raffle prizes. Tickets are $175 per person and won’t last long, so hustle to www.GYAC.net or call 772-794-1005.
Leave your cares behind for a few hours, and let’s dance! After all, these are the good times.
