Bike Advocacy Group Presents Free Movie/Discussion with community leaders

Bike Walk Indian River County invites the public to a free screening and discussion of the award-winning bicycle advocacy documentary Bicycle Revolution at The Majestic on January 23rd. The movie follows fifteen California college students who cycle to twelve cities to learn the challenges of creating bicycle-friendly cities. Following the film, there will be a community discussion encouraging citizen participation in local government decision making to promote health and safety in Vero Beach and Indian River County. The discussion will be facilitated by Indian River Press Journal Community Editor Laurence Reisman featuring BWIRC President Hugh Aaron, Indian River county MPO Señor Planner Jim Mann, city of Vero Beach Planning & Development Director Jason Jeffries, and Indian River County Commission Chair Bob Solari. The event is free but tickets are required. The movie is sponsored by Orchid Island Bikes & Kayaks and the Indian River County MPO’s Bicycle Advisory Committee.
