“Atlantic Promise” Field Exercise Returns to Fellsmere

The Forage Center for Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Education, Inc., a 501 c3 not for profit entity, will be holding its annual field exercise “Atlantic Promise” in Fellsmere, Florida March 16-19, 2017.

The “Atlantic Promise” field exercise program is designed for graduate students enrolled in conflict resolution, peace-building, and humanitarian assistance academic programs. The exercise provides students with a realistic understanding of what it means to work in challenging areas throughout the world and aid people who are experiencing conflict and natural disasters.

During the exercise, the students will be acting as members of a non-governmental organization, will engage in intensive negotiations, humanitarian assistance, peace-building assessment, and human rights advocacy as part of a scenario based on a realistic conflict and humanitarian crises.
