Ronald Glenn Marshall, 50, Vero Beach
Ronald Glenn Marshall, 50, died Oct. 28, 2017, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach. He was born Aug. 22, 1967.
Ronnie was an electrician by trade and loved spending time at the beach.
Ronnie is survived by his loving wife, Carol; step-daughter, Stacey Atherton, of Jacksonville; daughter, Hailee; and sons, Dalton, Wyatt and Gavin; father and step-mother, James and Theresa Marshall, of Havana, Fla.; and mother and step-father, Delores and Max Wiebke, of Vero Beach.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017, at Our Savior Lutheran Church.
Edward Norman, 70, Vero Beach
Edward Norman, 70, of Vero Beach, entered eternal peace on Nov. 2, 2017, after a short battle with lung cancer. Edward was born on Oct. 26, 1947, to Concetta Brancato and Edward Norman, Jr. in Hackensack, N.J.
Edward was an outdoorsman who loved fly fishing, hunting, and was a Dive Master for Deep Six for many years. He was also a Volunteer Fireman for Vero Lake Estates for several years and an active member of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
He holds the unofficial state record for shooting a deer on his property during muzzle loading season which scored a 231-inch in Arkansas.
Survivors include his wife, Rochelle Mandara Norman; son, Jon Kevin Norman; granddaughter, Chloe Christina Norman; and granddaughter’s mother, Summer Thomas. He was loved and adored by all his nieces, nephews, and family members.
He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Ross (Buzzy) Norman.

The family will receive friends for a visitation being held from Noon to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, at Strunk Funeral Home, 1623 North Central Ave., Sebastian. A Memorial service with Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Father Michael Martin, celebrant.
Kathleen Theresa Otremba, 79, Sebastian
Kathleen Theresa Otremba, 79, died Nov. 1, 2017 at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, lived in Massapequa, Long Island, until moving to Sebastian in 2004 after her retirement. She completed her hurricane delayed new home in 2005.
Kathy retired as a school secretary at Raymond J. Lockhart Elementary, Massapequa, Long Island, N.Y. after 20 years.
She loved playing Scrabble at the North County Library in Sebastian.
Survivors include daughter Kerri Gibson (Sean) of Lake Ariel, Pa.; grandson, Christopher C.J. Gibson, of Lake Ariel; and brother, Robert Otremba, of Melbourne.
She was preceded in death by her son, James Leitch, in 1996.

Reuben ‘Henry’ Thigpen, 88, Vero Beach
Reuben “Henry” Thigpen, 88, a long term resident of Vero Beach, passed away on Nov. 2, 2017.
Henry was born in Greenville, Madison County, Fla., on Oct. 23, 1929, to Andrew Jackson and Ruby Letchworth Thigpen and step-son of Alpha Thigpen.
Henry’s family moved to the Madison County area around 1858 and Henry was one of the fourth generation of Thigpens in Florida. Henry spent his young life in Greenville, Fla., where his father was a farmer and he never lost his love of working in the garden.
After serving his country in the U.S. Army, Henry met and married Betty Jean Howard in 1952 in Vero Beach. On Oct. 17, 2017, they celebrated 65 years of marriage. They are members of Genesis Baptist Church.
While raising a family in Vero Beach, Henry was employed as a mechanic by the Vero Beach Ice Plant, Vero Beach Power Plant, Piper Aircraft, Greene’s Gas, Vero Beach Gas and the School District of Indian River County.
Henry leaves behind his wife, Betty Jean Howard Thigpen; sons, Ronnie Howard (Susan) Thigpen, Henry Scott Thigpen; his daughters, Jean Ann Thigpen Longcore and Vickie Thigpen; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Lonnie Clarence Thigpen and Edward Eugene Thigpen; and a sister, Thelma Norris.
Henry is predeceased by brothers, Riley Thigpen, Charles Jackson (C.J.) Thigpen; and sisters, Mae Thigpen, Mattie Ruth Thigpen Ivey Kendall and Inez Elliott.
The family will greet friends from 1-2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, with a 2 p.m. Celebration of Life service to follow, at Thomas S. Lowther Funeral Home, 1655 27th Street, Vero Beach
A reception is planned following the service at the Grove Isle River’s Edge Clubhouse, 680 Grove Isle Circle, Vero Beach.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Vero Beach VNA Hospice, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach FL 32960.
Hugh Todd, Jr., 90, Vero Beach
Hugh Todd, Jr., 90, of Vero Beach, passed away Thursday, Nov. 2, 2017, at Indian River Estates Medical Center in Vero Beach. Hugh was born in Winchester, Ky., and moved to Vero Beach six years ago from Hernando, Fla.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the US Navy after enlisting at the age of 17. Hugh retired as the Chairman of the Board and CEO of FFM – Fast Food Merchandisers (Hardees) in Rocky Mount, N.C.
Survivors include his wife, Florence; a son, Blaine Todd, of Spotsylvania, Va.; a daughter, Susan Holbrook, of Clayton, N.C.; two step-daughters, Barbara Ann Wujciak, of Chapel Hill, N.C., and Christine Germaine, of Berkley, Mich.; a sister, Juanita Todd, of Winchester, Ky.; and five grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jane Bell Todd.

Interment will be in Winchester. There will be no services locally.
