SEBASTIAN — The PNC Bank located on Sebastian Boulevard was robbed Saturday morning, shortly after opening, according to the Sebastian Police Department.
The robbery occurred at 9:15 a.m. and happened quickly, Sebastian Community Policing Officer Steve Marcinik said.
Three subjects came into the bank, brandishing two handguns and at least two of them wore masks to obscure their faces. They were “very aggressive in nature,” Ofc. Marcinik said. Along with displaying two guns, they also jumped the tellers’ counter.
No one was injured in the robbery.
The suspects were described as being black males in their 20s. One is described as having short, black hair. The other two wore hoodies. One wore a ski mask and another wore a Halloween mask similar to that of the horror movie character Jason. All three wore dark clothing.
The suspects are believed to be from outside the area, according to Ofc. Marcinik.
After the robbery, the suspects fled the bank in an older maroon Plymouth Neon, which had been reported stolen out of Palm Bay. The car was later recovered in an alley that parallels Sebastian Boulevard, according to Ofc. Marcinik.
Authorities are following up on investigative leads, he said.
