Sheila Parris-Bland, 63, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 10, 2016, at Indian River Medical Center after a prolonged illness.
She is survived by her husband Larry Bland; step-daughter Shawna Simmons (Ted) with three granddaughters; and her siblings: Gary Parris (Bobbie), Jan Parris Humphrey, Peggy Parris Brown (Bill), Nancy Parris Smith, Lori Parris Morence (Anthony), Stephen Parris, Sharon Parris Johnson, Terry Parris (Holly); and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her mother Ora Jackson, stepfather Norman Jackson, father Billy Parris, and her sister Rose Parris Cunningham.
Parris-Bland was born May 31, 1953, in Gadsen, Ala., and moved to Vero Beach in 1960.
She was a retired former business owner and real estate agent.
She was passionate about many things, with the most important being politics, her family, and her friends.
There will be a private ceremony held at a later date.
