Sara H. Burkett, 90, of Winter Haven, Fla., formerly of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 20, 2016.
She is survived by a loving family consisting of several nieces, nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband William Burkett.
Burkett was a volunteer at the Vero Beach Theatre Guild for many years, which was close to her heart. In previous years, before being diagnosed with dementia, she was an avid seamstress and taught sewing/tailoring at the Vero Beach Community College.
Per her wishes, in lieu of flowers the family is asking donations be made to the Vero Beach Theatre Guild in her name. Vero Beach Theatre Guild, 2020 San Juan Avenue, Vero Beach.
