Stephen F. Zyrkowski, 71, of Vero Beach, passed away on July 30, 2016.
He is survived by his daughter Kristin von Kleeck of Nyack, N.Y.; his son Eric of Abingdon, Md.; son-in-law David von Kleeck; daughter-in-law Sarah Zyrkowski; three grandchildren, Jake and Ava von Kleeck and Hudson Zyrkowski.
Zyrkowski was born to the late Joseph and Helen Zyrkowski on Dec. 28, 1944, in Meriden, Conn. He graduated from St. John Kanty Prep in Erie, Pa., and received his BA in History from St. Bonaventure University, Olean, N.Y. in 1967. He married Jeanne Gauthier in 1973, and they lived together in Mahopac, N.Y, before retiring to Vero Beach in 2006.
He was a Manufacturer’s Representative for R.J.Reynolds. His favorite activities included golfing, fishing, coaching his children’s sports teams and volunteering for community events.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m., Aug. 2, 2016 at Cox-Gifford-Seawinds Funeral Home with a Prayer Service to be held at 5:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016 at St. Helen Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Memorial Contributions may be made to VNA Hospice Foundation, or Moffitt Cancer Center of Tampa. Cox Gifford Seawinds Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
