Marlene Woodward Runte, 73, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 26, 2016, at her home in Denton, Texas.
She is survived by her husband Lawrence Runte; sons Jeffrey Runte and Timothy Runte (Dawn); siblings Sharon Runge (Peter), Jeanne Stiteler (Jerry), and James Woodward (Patricia); and three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Runte was born Oct. 23, 1942, to Howard and Violet Carlsward Woodward in Anderson, Ind.
She married Lawrence Runte Sept. 3, 1963, in Vero Beach. She was a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Vero Beach and attended Indian River Community College.
Services will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be directed to The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund.
