Louis V. Scorpati, 85, of Vero Beach, formerly of Vero Beach, passed away on April 26, 2016.
He was the beloved husband of the late Estelle (nee Toscano).
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Mary of Clifton, N.J.; his sister Frances Parker of Lake Hiawatha, N.J. and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister, Catherine Fox.
Scorpati attended the University of Alabama on a full football scholarship and after graduating in 1955 he entered the United States Air Force, where he served for 30 years, active and reserve, and retired in 1985 as a full colonel.
A memorial remembrance will be celebrated at the Garden Grove Club in Vero Beach on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. He will be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery in New Jersey.
