Edward Joseph Chamberlain, 89, Sebastian

Edward Joseph Chamberlain, 89, of Sebastian, formerly of Salem, N.H., passed away peacefully on March 1, 2016, at his home.

He was the beloved husband of Elaine (Barbin) Chamberlain with whom he shared 63 years of marriage. He was the devoted father of Steven Chamberlain of Windham, N.H., Neal Chamberlain and his wife Gail of Windham, N.H.; and grandfather of Jillian Chamberlain of Los Angeles, Calif., and Kristen Chamberlain of San Diego, Calif. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Chamberlain was the dear brother of the late Gerard Chamberlain, Alda Robinson, Simon Kyser, Jeanette Berube, and Theresa Carelli.

Chamberlain was born in Lawrence on June 8, 1926 to the late Alfred and Ludevine (Caron) Chamberlain. He was a disabled American veteran of WWII and a 30-year member of the AFL Labor Union. He retired to Florida in 1992. In his free time, he enjoyed playing golf and playing cards with his friends.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at St. Sebastian Catholic Church, 13075 US 1, Sebastian.
