VERO BEACH — The Tree and Beautification Commission in conjunction with the City Council, is announcing the second annual “Beautification Weekend” for the City of Vero Beach, re-establishing a concept first established in 1930 honoring Dr. Humiston’s efforts in beautifying the City through cleanup and planting projects.
Beautification Weekend will take place Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 13-14, 2016.
The Commission is encouraging residents to clean up their yard, plant a tree, trim a hedge, plant flowers, paint a mailbox, mend a fence, or engage in other beautification activities over that weekend and motivate others to take similar actions.
Work as a team on a larger project, or help a friend or family member with an overdue task. Every little bit makes a big difference.
Taking actions to beautify this city is to everyone’s benefit; making Vero Beach an even more beautiful and attractive place to live!
