Laura F. Brown, 87, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 20, 2015.
She is survived by her daughters Donna Lee McMillen, Judith Carol Vegso (Joseph), and Terri Arlene Kinka (David); and her stepchildren James H. K. Brown, Jr. (Ite), Phillip M. Brown (Sandra) and Christine Quigley and a slew of grandchildren.
Brown was born in West Palm Beach. After high school she married Donald W. McMillen and they settled in Vero Beach. After he died from polio in 1952 she met and married James H.K. Brown. They had a daughter, Terri, and in 1958 they moved their family to the Philadelphia, Penn., area where they lived until they retired in Vero Beach.
She loved quilting, volunteering at the library and helping others whenever possible. As she said many times, she had a long and happy life.
