Thelma McQueen, 90, of Vero Beach, passed away on Dec. 27, 2015, at her residence.
She is survived by her daughters Karen Barkiewicz of Clearwater, Fla., Bonnie McNelly of Vero Beach, Shasta Thomason of Fort Pierce; son Kendall McQueen of River Ranch, Fla.; two brothers and one sister out of 16; 22 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Lanier A. “Mac” McQueen.
McQueen was born June 1, 1925 in Ottumwa, Iowa to the late Graham E. and Beaulah (Etter) Osborne. Before she moved to Vero Beach in 2011 she was an active member of the Frostproof Art League.
Visitation will be held 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015 at Marion Nelson Funeral Home Chapel in Frostproof with Rev. David Durham officiating. Interment will be held at Silver Hill Cemetery.
