Marie Bice Mahon, 94, of Vero Beach, passed away on Oct. 7, 2015.
She is survived by her sons Patrick Mahon (Katherine) of Fort Pierce and Keith Mahon (Hortensia) of St. Lucie and grandson Keith Mahon of Vero Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband Keith Mahon in 2013.
Mahon was born in Sulphur Rock, Ark., grew up there during the great depression and graduated from Baptist Memorial Nurses Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
She was an Army Flight nurse during WWII and met her future husband, Keith in Labrador. After the war they were married and were stationed in many places prior to moving to Vero Beach in 1972. Her last assignment was the old Indian River Hospital.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Vero Beach.
