Rachel Morrison, 59, of Vero Beach, passed away on Oct. 21, 2015, at home, surrounded by her family.
She is survived by her mother Patricia Morrison; sisters Pamela Morrison and Marlene Ferrara; nephew Matthew Ferrara; great-nephew Xavier Ferrara; and her extended family Carl, Linda; and niece Summer Van Dyke and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Arnold Morrison and sister Rosemary Morrison.
She was born on July 3, 1956 in Atlanta, Ga., and moved to Plantation, Fla., where she graduated from Plantation High School in 1974.
Morrison went on to graduate from the University of Alabama with a BA. She taught at Vero Beach High School until 1983. She made a career change and for 28 years was a hairstylist with many kind and devoted clients.
She had a strong Christian faith and attended Freedom Church. She was creative in more ways than we could possibly list and enjoyed life to the fullest. We will miss her laughter, smile and quick wit.
A Celebration of Rachel’s life will take place at 1 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 25, at Freedom Church, 455 58th Avenue SW, Vero Beach, FL 32968. Interment will follow at Crestlawn Cemetery.
