Ruth Keese MacKinnon-Chovanec, 96, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2015.
She is survived by her daughter Susan Long of Vero Beach; two grandchildren, Scott Long (Linda) of Niantic, Conn., and Kimberly Craig (Troy) of Evansville, Ind., and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband Thomas MacKinnon in 1995 and her second husband, Paul Chovanec in 2014.
MacKinnon-Chovanec was born in Ferrisburg, Vt., daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Keese. She had lived in Vero Beach the past 36 years coming from New Hampshire. She was a graduate of Katherine Gibbs in Boston, Mass.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ruth’s name to the Humane Society of Vero Beach, PO Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32961.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held by the family at a later date.
