Robert Bruce Volkert, 78, of Vero Beach, passed away on Aug. 25, 2015.
He is survived by his wife Joan Volkert of Indian River Shores; sons Jeffrey Brian Volkert (Amy) of Denver, Colo., Christopher Todd Volkert (Holli) of Lake Bluff, Ill. and Robert Scott Volkert (Shelley) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; step-children Leanne, Lisa and David; and 13 grandchildren.
Volkert was born in Chicago, Ill., son of the late Harold and Ruth Volkert.
He lived in Indian River Shores with his wife Joan the past 15 years coming from Chicago. He was a retired Business Owner in the graphic arts industry.
Volkert was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Vero Beach and a member of the Quail Valley Golf Club. He was a graduate of Culver Military Academy in 1955 and Northwestern University in 1959.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made in Robert’s name to the Vero Beach Dog Park, 3349 Indian River Dr. E., Vero Beach, FL 32963 or the Humane Society Of Vero Beach, P.O. Box 644, Vero Beach, FL 32961.
