Ruth Blythe, 84, of Vero Beach, passed away on June 10, 2015, at the VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.
She is survived by her children, Anthony Blythe of Raleigh, N.C., Steven Blythe of Winter Park, Fla., Jennifer Carr of Vero Beach, Brenda Blythe of Vero Beach; 21 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett William Blythe, her parents, Squire Madison and Pearl Gearhart, her son, Terry Blythe and her 10 brothers and sisters
Born Feb.1, 1931, in Indian Run, Kent., she was a resident of Kentucky for many years. Blythe served as a foster mother to many children. She moved to Florida and made Sebastian her home since the late 1980s. She was a retired hostess at Morrison’s cafeteria.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 3 p.m. at Cornerstone Christian Church, 5950 12th Street, Vero Beach.
