INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 13-year-old boy told police he fell to his knees in fear when a 22-year-old man pointed a gun at him and threatened to kill him.
The boy was able to run to safety when the defendant turned to walk away, according to the arrest affidavit.
Victor Smith, 22, was identified by the victim as the man who threatened him, authorities said. He now faces one felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Smith was arrested in the 3900 block of Kennedy Court in Indian River County on Sunday night following the disturbance that caused a large crowd to gather. Smith’s address was not listed in the booking report.
He denied being near the scene of the alleged crime or having a firearm with him at the time of the alleged crime.
Smith is being held in the Indian River County Jail in lieu of $15,000 Bond.
