VERO BEACH — The Harvest Food and Outreach Center recently announced that that the “Ride to Beat Hunger Splash Party Celebration” is sponsored by The Dyer Difference Award. The event, slated for May 26 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Waldo’s Restaurant and Bar at 3150 Ocean Dr. in Vero Beach, is free and open to the public. Donations will be accepted for refreshments from a charity bar featuring donations from Waldo’s and Southern Eagle Distributing.
In addition, guests will enjoy playing corn hole on the beach and a dunk tank featuring local celebrities who are willing to get wet for a great cause. All proceeds will benefit Harvest’s programs that are designed to inspire and empower people living in poverty to lift themselves and their families to economic self sufficiency.
Fun prizes for game participants include gift baskets from Johnny D’s and Southern Eagle Distributing and Jungle Club. A short cycling parade down Ocean Drive from Jaycee Park to Waldo’s will precede the festivities. Jeff and Allie from The Breeze 93.7 FM will also be hosting the festivities.
