Lawrence Anthony Hart, Sr., 74, of Vero Beach, passed away on April 3, 2015, at Indian River Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Alma Hart of Vero Beach; three sons, Lawrence (Alison) Hart, Jr., of Amsterdam, N.Y., Phil (Monica) Hart of Fargo, N.D., Peter (Shelly) Hart of King George, Va.; three daughters, Ann (Steve) Farnsworth of Roanoke, Va., Eileen (George) Holmes Bristow, Va., Monica Paro, of California, Md.; four brothers, Joe (Marg) Hart and Charles Hart, both of Stuart, Fla., Paddy (Laurie) Hart of Port St Lucie, Jim (Linda) Hart of Red Hook, Va.; 23 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
He was predeceased by his sister, Celeste Hart.
Hart was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and has been in Florida for the past 11 years.
He retired from IBM after many years, and served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Lebanon Crisis.
Hart was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Vero Beach, and a member of the Knights of Columbus, where he was twice the former Grand Knight and Faithful Navigator of the 4th degree.
A visitation will be on Wednesday April 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Aycock Funeral Home, Fort Pierce, chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Thursday April 9, at 2 p.m.
