Stephen Redstone, 72, of Vero Beach, passed away peacefully at his residence in Blairsville, Ga., on April 8, 2015.
He is survived by his mother, Florence Redstone of Vero Beach; wife Bonnie of Blairsville, Ga.; brother Philip Redstone of Vero Beach; daughter Lisa Vrana (Dale) of Stuart; son Chris Redstone (Sarah) of Tampa; his much-adored grandchildren Bryn and Jackson Vrana, both of Stuart, and several nieces and nephews.
Redstone was born in Olean, N.Y.,and was the son of Paul and Florence Redstone. In the mid-1950s the family moved and settled in Vero Beach. He was a graduate of the Class of 1961 from Vero Beach High School. After graduation, Redstone served in the Army Airborne Division with active duty in the Vietnam War.
He was a lifelong real estate broker and appraiser and owner of the Treasure Coast Appraisers in Fort Pierce for more than 35 years. He was a member of the Lions and Rotary Clubs, Past President of the Board of Realtors, and an active resident of St. Lucie County. Throughout his life he enjoyed playing golf, time relaxing on the Indian River Lagoon, and building and flying remote control airplanes. After retirement in 2013, he and his wife Bonnie moved to Blairsville, Ga.
Donations in Steve’s name may be made in lieu of flowers to The United Service Organization, Inc. (USO). Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Haisley Funeral Home, Fort Pierce. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at White City Cemetery.
