Jean Carnevale, 86, Vero Beach

Jean Carnevale, 86, of Vero Beach, passed away on March 1, 2015, at VNA Hospice House in Vero Beach.

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, John Joseph Carnevale of Vero Beach; son David Carnevale (Susan) of Beverly, Mass.; daughter Valerie Miller (Wayne) of Vero Beach; sisters Ann Morrison of Danvers, Mass., Doris Pannunzio, June Heckman and Sally Parisella all of Beverly, Mass.; grandchildren Jacqueline Klock (David), John W. Miller (Mona), Jeffrey Miller, Calandra Carnevale and Roman Carnevale; great-grandchildren Alexis Klock, Natalie Klock, Elizabeth Kolsenick, Rylee Woodall and Jackson Miller.

She was preceded in death by her sisters Blanche Primmer and Marion Adams and great- grandson Krystian Miller.

Carnevale was born in Beverly, Mass., and has been a winter resident of Vero Beach since 1980 permanently moving to Vero Beach in 2012 from Beverly, Mass. She was a graduate of Beverly High School, the Class of 1947.

She worked for The United Shoe Factory and later as a secretary for the First National Grocery Store in Beverly, Mass., and Salem Hospital, Salem, Mass., before her retirement in 1978. She was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church, Vero Beach. She was an avid bowler and loved to bowl with her sisters. Carnevale was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 6, 2015, at Strunk Funeral Home, Vero Beach. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 7, 2015, at Strunk Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. An online guest book is available at www.strunkfuneralhome.com.
