Born June 25, 1941, and raised in Kingston, N.Y., he recently became a resident of Vero Beach where he winter vacationed for many years. Szymanski was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception Church and a student at Immaculate Conception School, and was very proud of his Polish heritage. He was employed as a U.S. Post Office Letter Carrier for 11 years in the Kingston area, and then was self-employed as a custom cabinetmaker and general contractor.

An avid New York Giants fan and season ticket holder for 43 years, he loved the tailgate parties with his sons who so often traveled to be with him for the games. Szymanski loved golf and played as often as possible. He especially looked forward to the annual Bird’s Nest Open, as well as his golf trips with dear friends Joe Mitchell, Gary Roeber and Jack Dudek. He proudly served as coach of the Mets Kingston National Little League, manager of the Elks Babe Ruth League, and coach/player for the White Eagle Softball team.
