VERO BEACH — The RouteShout application, a comprehensive Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) technology platform, is now available to riders of the GoLine Indian River Transit System in Indian River County to find the closest bus stop to their location and access the arrival time of a particular bus.
All route schedules are also listed on the app for planning future trips. The app is free and available to anyone with a smart phone that uses iTunes or the Android Market. The information can also be accessed on their website at www.routeshout.com.
More than 60 transit agencies throughout the United States are now utilizing RouteShout for their county transportation systems.
“We are excited to be one of the first transportation systems in the state of Florida to implement this new system for our riders in Indian River County,” said Karen Deigl, President and CEO of the Senior Resource Association; operator of the County’s transportation. “This new application will make riding the GoLine bus system much easier for the residents in our community.”
