Karen Sisto, 47, Sebastian

Karen Sisto, 47, of Sebastian, passed away on Feb. 3, 2015, at Sebastian River Medical Center following a brief illness, surrounded by her devoted and loving family.

She is survived by her beloved husband Anthony Sisto; children Nicholas Borcherds of Portland, Maine, Tavis Borcherds of Lowell, Mass., and Abigail Borcherds of Sebastian; brothers James P. Dean of Wrentham, Mass., and Robert J. Dean of Palatine, Ill.; sister Cheryl D. McNamara of North Attleboro, Mass.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her sister Rebecca L. Dean.

Born in Attleboro, Mass., on Sept. 2, 1967, she was the beloved daughter of Paul F. Dean of Delray Beach and Diane (Marcinkoski) Dean of Sebastian.

Sisto grew up in North Attleboro, Mass., and was a 1985 graduate of Bishop Feehan High School. She had been a resident of Sebastian for the past seven years.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a gathering at Seawinds Funeral Home, 735 South Fleming St., Sebastian, on Feb. 13, 2015, from 1 to 2 p.m., followed by a Catholic service at 2 p.m. in the Chapel.

There will be a service for friends and family in Massachusetts in the spring, with interment of her ashes in Mt. Hope Cemetery near her sister, Rebecca, and her niece, Victoria. These final arrangements will be announced at a later date.

Seawinds Funeral Home and Crematory of Sebastian is entrusted with arrangements.
