VERO BEACH — The economic development office of the Indian River County Chamber of Commerce will host a tour of Riverfront Packing, a citrus packing facility, on Thursday morning, Feb. 26, 2015.
Participants will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Chamber building located at 1216 21st Street in Vero Beach for a brief overview of the manufacturing industry in Indian River County. Transportation will be provided to Riverfront Packing, located on US 1 and 49th Street, for the facility tour. Participants will be transported back to the Chamber by 11 a.m. Closed-toed flat shoes are required, no sandals, flip-flops or high-heels. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
The tours are organized to familiarize local residents with the county’s industrial base and the impact these companies have on the local economy. Call the Chamber at (772) 567-3491 to make a reservation. The tour is limited to 15 participants.
