Sebastian man fires gun in home toward step-son

SEBASTIAN — A Sebastian man is being held in lieu of $11,000 bond after allegedly firing three shots from a handgun into a bedroom and bathroom, from which his wife’s son was fleeing, according to the Sebastian Police Department.

Richard Lowry, 51, of the 400th block of Concha Drive in Sebastian was arrested on Saturday and is facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, battery domestic violence, and shooting into a dwelling, according to the report.

Lowry’s wife told authorities her son came to her defense when her husband pushed and kicked her. The defendant then went to his bedroom and returned with a .45 caliber handgun, according to the arrest report.
