Byron Sickman, 74, of Vero Beach, passed away on Jan. 11, 2015, after a long illness.
He is survived by his soulmate Barbara Peltier; sons Randy and Bill Ellis; his faithful canine companion Casey and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Edison Sickman and his mother Ruth Hess Sickman.
As a young man he served in the Air Force. After serving as a Deputy for St. Lucie County, he became a Florida Highway Patrol Trooper in 1975. Upon retiring as a Corporal in January of 1996, he worked for Communications Int’l starting their Radar Calibration unit. He was a member of the FOP and the Rusty Anchor Boat Club.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Feb. 21, 2015, at the River House in Vero Beach, from 2 to 6 p.m. with a Rememberance at 3 p.m. Please bring stories and any pictures you may have to share.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VNA Hospice House, 1110 35th Lane, Vero Beach, FL 32960, or a charity of choice in his memory.
