Vero Beach falls to Manatee in Region 2-8A semifinal

BRADENTON — For the second year in a row, the Vero Beach Fighting Indians’ playoff hopes came to an end in the second round, falling to Manatee.

The Fighting Indians ended their season 11-1.

Vero led at halftime 21-19 then lost control in the third quarter and never regained the lead.

Manatee beat Vero Beach 47-28.
